School Bus in Crash on Northwest Side

On Wednesday morning, March 9 a Boerne ISD school bus was in a crash on the Northwest Side.

According to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 25000 Ralph Fair Road. The driver of the bus was headed west on Interstate 10 when he lost control of the bus, possibly due to the wet roads, causing it to skid and flip on its side. It came to rest at a tree line on the side of the road.

At the time of the crash, the bus was carrying special needs students to Boerne-Samuel V. Champion High School and to Boerne Middle School South. In addition to the driver, a school monitor and two high school aged children were on the bus.

None of the children were injured, even though the bus flipped. However, the driver and the school monitor were both injured although their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
